Avocado Toast

Who says eating healthy has to be complicated or take a lot of time? This recipe is a perfect meal for anytime of day, and similar to the Fruit and Yogurt recipe, the different toppings to the the toast and avocado spread are endless!

  • Add a soft boiled egg for breakfast

  • Top with salmon, red onion, and capers

  • Use cherry tomatoes, bocconcini cheese balls, and balsamic

  • Have left over veggies from the night before? Go ahead and add them too!

You cannot go wrong with having avocado as the main ingredient to build on because avocados are high in fiber, potassium, vitamin K, folate, vitamin B6, vitamin E, vitamin C, and healthy fats. The healthy fats help your body to absorb other nutrients when eaten together. They are anti-inflammatory and contain antioxidants, can help you control blood sugar levels, and may help to lower cholesterol.

Add in radishes that support a healthy digestive system, help detox the body and support detox organs such as liver and blood, as well as contain antioxidants that are heart-healthy and cancer-protective!

Hemp seeds are a great source of magnesium, which helps regulate your heartbeat and is linked to the prevention of coronary heart disease. They also contain Linoleic acid, which one study found reduced participants' cholesterol levels by 15% and may act to reduce blood pressure.

Healthy doesn’t need to be complicated and this recipe proves just that!
