Yogurt Toast
Combining a complex carbohydrate with fat and protein is well-balanced and will keep your kid’s blood-sugar in check and feeling satisfied into the day. Yogurt toast is not only quick and easy, but it's also healthy! Yogurt contains probiotics which are healthy bacteria that aid in digestion and boost the immune system.
INGREDIENTS
2 slices of toast
1 egg
3 tbsp of Greek or non-dairy Yogurt
2 tbsp of maple syrup or natural honey
Optional: your choice of fruit (berries, bananas, apples, etc) and/or chia seeds, nut butter, or chocolate nibs
Preheat airfryer or oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
Combine egg, yogurt, and maple syrup or honey in a bowl. Whisk together to form a custard.
Using fingers or the back of a spoon, press into the bread to create an indent without cutting through.
Spoon in custard to the indented bread and add toppings of choice.
Put into airfryer for 4-5 minutes or the oven for 8-12 minutes, until the custard starts to caramelize at the edges.
Serve & enjoy!
